History lesson

Did you know that the world’s first computer programmer was a woman named Ada Lovelace? In the mid-1800s, Lovelace worked with Charles Babbage to develop the first mechanical computer, called the Analytical Engine. But Lovelace didn’t just help build the machine—she also wrote the first algorithm, a set of instructions for the computer to follow. Lovelace’s work paved the way for modern computer programming and earned her the nickname “the first computer programmer.” Her legacy continues to inspire women in technology today.
